Florida Highway Patrol makes arrest in crash that killed a Tallahassee woman
网上体育投注官网The Florida Highway Patrol has arrested a woman in connection with a head-on crash that left a Tallahassee woman dead and a passenger seriously injured.
Katie Odessa Wimberley, 34, was arrested Wednesday at her home in Mayo on charges of DUI manslaughter and vehicular homicide, FHP said in a news release. She was taken to the Taylor County Jail.
Verity Coghill, 33, was killed in the crash, which happened Nov. 11 on Byron Butler Parkway in Taylor County. Her husband, Brian Coghill, 53, a passenger, was seriously injured.
网上体育投注官网FHP said Wimberley was driving the wrong way on the parkway when she crashed her Chevrolet Trax into the Coghills' Subaru Forester. Verity Coghill was airlifted to Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare, where she later died.
